Ebay question.. help!!!

So I sold a motherboard to this guy on E-bay and six days went by with no payment and no responses to my emails. Well, I leave negative feedback for the guy figuring he went AWOL... and, Murphy's Law, he PayPals me like two hours later. Does anyone know how to retract negative feedback on Ebay?

Thanks!

Brad

You can't. Squaretrade can have them removed especially if you agree but it's like $25 or something. Leave an update saying he paid for sure.

You can't retract feedback.

I don't think you can. You can ask him to post so you can reply though.

damn you should have waited longer than 6 days. did you give him his warnings and stuff?

$25? just another way for ebay to fuck you.

In my opinion, 6 days is not enough time to justify a Negative feedback. The only thing you gain is getting drawn into a Negative feedback pissing contest.

i've never had to leave neg feedback, but if i did i would do it right before the 90 days or whatever is up... so by the time they see it they wont be able to leave you negative feedback in retaliation.

It's already been said here before but 6 days is way too early.

There are procedures in place exactly for this kind of incident.

You could have waited for a proper amount of time, then filed a non paying bidder alert...ebay would have then contacted the guy, you could also have requested their contact info from ebay.

Many more things that should have been done before any type of feedback was left.

Did you not read any of the warnings right before you leave feedback?...they don't let you leave negative feedback without first stating you have gone through all the proper procedures etc and how feedback cannot be changed.

Yeah I read all of that... Jesus, don't shoot the messanger. I suppose I should have given him one more day but hindsight is 20/20. I've spent tens of thousands on Ebay and I'm just not one of those people that takes more than a few hours to pay.

When I emailed him telling him that I would try to retract the negative feedback his response was "it's ok... I would wonder too :-)"

On principle I'll probably just pay the $25 if I can but I think I'll email him again first to see what he thinks.
