Convert better with less tour pages?
silly q here.. if u were promoting a website with 3 tour pages, and lets say ur refcode can be placed on all 3 of the pages,
do u think that the conversion ratio would be better if u let surfers see 2 or even 1 page compared to 3? any clue? |
Depends, do a 3 page'r and have straight to join links on each.
Track the time of day and the depth of pages before they hit the join, or how deep the surfers go before saying goodbye. Then track the phase of the moon and apply it against the direction of the wind derived from the country you assess the country the surfer is coming from. With that, you should be able to derive a number between 1 and 3 that should give you the exact number of tour pages to use, give or take 3. |
anyone else?

Bot I've seen sites with even 6 or 7 tour pages ( All Liquid sites I believe ) and I think in that case 3 or 4 would be better. But I may be wrong. Also make sure that if you link f.e to the 2nd or 3rd tour page, there are not "back" or "previous" links on the tour. |
We had soooo many webmasters requesting a link straight to the join page that we created that option! So it must work in lots of cases :)

I think shorter tours are better for sure, 5 pages just gives the surfer more chance to blow his load before you ask him for a CC #. I think that if you look at the Byot's people make for ARS this becomes evident. Most of the byot's are short and to the point and if you look at their top converting sites most of them are byot's.
My thought on it is the surfer always has his dick in one hand and the mouse in the other, if a page can't make him blow his load, he will click a link and go to the next page, if he keeps getting more tour pages, eventually he will get one that will make him cum, if he clicks the link and gets a join page, his dick will go limp and his hand will be free to reach for his CC. |
Well, one statistic I saw said that you will lose abotu 50% of your surfers for each additional page. Thats the exact amount i lose from page one to page two. My page two "hardcore" pictures link to my join page, so I have a higher average.
But, I have a little itty bitty site. I dont need 5 pages telling them whats inside. |
