AstroDollars Compromised

AtroDollars had their webmaster database hacked... I use a unique password for every site I ever signed up for, today I got this:

It appears that, (aas###hdIKdstr), 's your password. May very well not know me and you are most likely wondering why you're getting this e-mail, right?

in fact, I setup a viruses on the adult vids (porno) website and guess what happens, you visited this web site to have fun (you know very well what I mean). When you were watching videos, your internet browser started off working like a RDP (Team Viewer) which provided me accessibility to your screen and webcam. after that, my software programs obtained your complete contacts from your Messenger, Microsoft outlook, FB, along with emails.

What did I do?

I produced a double-screen video recording. Very first part shows the video you were watching (you have got a good taste haha . . .), and 2nd part shows the recording of your webcam.

what exactly should you do?

Well, in my opinion, $1000 is a fair price for our little hidden secret. You'll make the payment by Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search "how to purchase bitcoin" search engines like google).

Bitcoin Address: 16N9eaFVroMiDMAZ71T3wbSpRD7n7DttmY
(It is case sensitive, so copy and paste it)

Very important:
You've got 1 day in order to make the payment. (I've a special pixel within this e-mail, and at this moment I am aware that you have read this email message). If I don't get the BitCoins, I will certainly send your video recording to all of your contacts including relatives, coworkers, and so on. Having said that, if I receive the payment, I'll destroy the video immidiately. If you need evidence, reply with "Yes!" and i'll undoubtedly send your videos to your 6 contacts. It is a non-negotiable offer, that being said don't waste my personal time and yours by responding to this message.

Now, of course it's fake, but since I use a unique password for every site I know who this was... So not only did they store passwords unencoded (AMATEURS!!!!!), they also allowed their database to be hacked... and didn't say anything about it on top of that. Maybe they don't know yet... in Europe there are hefty fines for getting a database compromised and not reporting it to the authorities!

Like you, I never re-use passwords, it's a good way to stay in control as much as possible.

No one has been fooled yet:

Wow, bravo. I've got same email. But I've never seen this sponsor until now.

CurrentlySober 08-07-2018 06:02 AM

I keep getting the same email to an email address I have only used on GFY. It says my password is "inthenavy!" but thats not a password I would ever use, or have ever used anywhere

Different bitcoin address though, but word for word otherwise

Which sponsor was your password from?

This reminds me of a very very depressing episode of Black Mirror.

I saw that one too.

newB 08-07-2018 09:10 AM

I've gotten a couple that were very similar, but didn't include having a password that I recall. I remember it was kind of insulting with something in it like "be smarter next time."

While it probably doesn't make much difference, I do get a small sense of satisfaction from reporting the more annoying spam to [email protected] as well as the senders hosting provider.

CurrentlySober 08-07-2018 09:20 AM

The password in the OP doesn't show up at https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords

My supposed password - inthenavy! - Shows up 54 times

Oh For Fucks Sake!

Now you've gone and posted it on GFY, I gotta go change all mine again - Thanks for nothing :mad::mad:

jscott 08-07-2018 10:48 AM

There's a scam like this originating from Philippines. A young dude killed himself over this, and the criminals were caught. But it's obviously still a scam others are still doing. Wow that is scummy shit.

Glad to see that address hasn't received any BTC (yet) but maybe they're using separate addresses per attempted victim.

Rochard 08-07-2018 11:20 AM

I got a similar email but without the password stuff....

LOL. Sure, share any imaginary video with the world. I'm fine with that.

ladida 08-08-2018 07:51 AM

A database got hacked :) Woa, there's news for you. If you knew how many adult programs are actively hacked (as in its ongoing and repeating for years without them even caring or knowing) you'd never join a porn site ever again :)

adultchatpay 08-09-2018 03:11 AM

That sucks

Don't know about astro guys but I receive a similar email daily, with one of my "lesser" passwords attached to it

I'm not signedup at astrocash and I'm still puzzled where and how they got it from.. but they do indeed have it (I never log in at any public computer or anything like that..)

So yeah.. identical mail, pass attached, same porn video bullshit thing

Looks who's talking, you said you have the database of Webcams.com affiliates and were willing to help me out while i never asked you to contact me or to speak to me, I called you a scamming cock sucker and a backstabbing piece of shit for doing this, and you started to cyberstalk me cause you said the Webcam Industry was coming out of your pocket and you would send people to me to have me teach a lesson.

FUCK OFF!!!!

Funny how people come to conclusions... Where the fuck does it say I'm surprised? Or shocked? This is something that was bound to happen eventually, and has happened many times before... Now with more and more companies asking more personal information 'cause of this "KYC" thing in the states there's bound to be more trouble on the way. Lots of people here run databases with personal information in it... more and more the non adult world is sneaking up on this industry, including the grown-up-people-fines for now acting according to regulations... there are hefty fines in Europe for having a hacked database and now reporting this to the authorities...

I'm just trying to look after this industry that has served me well over the years. Maybe you should try to consider doing the same instead of making lame comments on other people's posts...

Unbelievable people fall for this... Unlike some here that post "get over it" and "shit happens"... I think this is the shit that's happening that eventually bring in more and more regulations. In other words: some greedy fucks messing it up for everybody else... Apparently people accept that these days... SMH...

You're looking out for the industry how? By saying a database got breached? :) Well maybe you should contact the owners and tell them this, and not bring it on the board since that accomplishes nothing. If you get ignored by the owners then bring it to the boards.
You also said "they allowed" for database to be hacked, as if it's some novelty news, while the reality is exactly the opposite. Not only that, there are a lot of program owners that knew their database was hacked, never said anything to anyone, never even did anything about it and it's been going on from 2001 since you are a member. And now, in 2018 you're posting this so yea, i post condescending remarks because its funny af from where im sitting.

The Hun 08-13-2018 05:43 AM

Right on. Let’s not give a fuck and do absolutely nothing! That will surely makes things happen...
