Anyone have a clue about server stats
 

What do you think of this Server stats.

Under hits from countries:
Japan
Hits=124317 Files=2 Kilobytes=4

Could this be bogus or some kind of bot or something?

Russian Federation is similar.

Maybe there is something I could do about this if its some kind of cheating?

Whats a server?

That is telling you that 2 files were hit 124317.

Remember, Hits are not visitors, just page views. One visitor can view 5 pages which makes 5 hits, but only one session/visit.

So, if you have a two page site, that would make sense. If you have more htan two pages, then only two of those pages have been hit several times.

Does your server collect ip's, check them to see what is going on. I coould take a look if you want and see if I can figure this out for you.

Total sessions served : 242
(actual visitors)
Total hits made on server : 1477
(page views)

So, 242 people saw 1477 pages. Of course, there are duplicate views as I do not have that many pages on the site.

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering because all of my other stats are like a 1:50 ratio. This seems to be like a 1:2000 ratio.

Meaning that I have most stats from most countries similar to this:

US
Hits= 2166812 Files = 1892470 Kilobytes = 26036868

So you see if most all are like this and only one or two are like the first one that I posted about, I thought that something was wrong.

No, IPs are not tracked.

Yes, it does look weird. I would see if your hosting company can explain that one. Not exactly sure why the numbers are the way they are. There is somethine strange going on there.
