Trump says you need an ID to buy groceries

:1orglaugh

MAN OF THE PEOPLE DONALD TRUMP THINKS YOU NEED AN I.D. TO BUY GROCERIES

During a speech at a “Make America Great Again” rally in Tampa, Florida, Trump, attempting to make the case for stricter voter-identification laws, told the crowd: “If you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need I.D. You go out and you want to buy anything, you need I.D. and you need your picture.”

Do his cult followers believe the same shit?

Rochard 08-01-2018 01:56 PM

This is what happens when you put a rich person in office. They have no idea how the real world works.

It's entirely possible Trump has not been shopping in a grocery store or convenience store in decades. When he wants something he asks for it, and it's handed to him. Trump could not tell you how much a 12 pack of Pepsi costs because he himself has never bought.

This is not a Republican vs Democrat issue - it's ALL sides. Hillary Clinton said during campaigning that she hasn't driven a car thirty years. She was first lady of Arkansas, then first lady in the White house, Senator, Secretary of State... She has had a security detail drive her every place since 1979.

These people - all of them - are completely removed from the general public. This is why we have problems with things like healthcare. They don't understand how the average person cannot afford healthcare. Or a mortgage.

RedFred 08-01-2018 02:03 PM

I wonder if Onwebcam, 8pt-buck, or acepimp actually know how much one has to spend in a grocery store before being required to show ID. If any of them live in the US they should easily know the answer.

Only at the commissary have I been required to show ID for groceries. Most places don't even ask for ID anymore when you use your credit card.

What's scary is people still flock to this guy knowing they are gonna get loaded up with fucking ridiculous comments like this.

blackmonsters 08-01-2018 02:24 PM

Trump didn't need any ID to buy pussy.

The point being that you should have an ID to vote in our elections is still valid. :2 cents:

It kind of reminds me when George HW Bush when to a store while in office and was "amazed" at the food scanners that read the prices. He was bashed widely by Democrats and comics a plenty for being out of touch if he didn't even realize stores had checkout scanners.

Of course, Trump supporters won't care.

bronco67 08-01-2018 02:45 PM

The way he drinks water from a bottle with two hands is enough to disqualify him as president. He's only had butlers put a glass of sparkling water to his privileged lips his entire life. The one time he had to drink from a bottle, it happened to be on live television and it was fucking weird.

he's probably never driven a car or done many other things normal people have to do. You know, people who have to do shit for themselves. Respectable people.

People still buy groceries with CHECKS. The cashier is supposed to check ID.

People buy beer & wine. The cashier is supposed to check ID.

Fred is just too poor to have a checking account, and the EBT/ food stamp card doesn't allow for alcohol purchases, so he's simply uniformed on this topic.

This is a good point, and probably what he ment. I'm just so used to using my credit card for everything. My parents used to always pay with a check.

"I’m telling you, I used to use the word incompetent. Now I just call them stupid. I went to an Ivy League school. I’m very highly educated. I know words, I have the best words...but there is no better word than stupid. Right?"

Funny how Sarah Sanders and chumpanzees have to reinterpret and explain what chump said and ment.

Trump says you need an ID to buy groceries
Sarah "he ment when buying beer and wine"

Yea if you're over 90 years old. Everyone in America now gets a debit card with checking accounts, works the same exact way as a check. What country do you live in to not know this?

And while it will NEVER happen (anywhere in the world), this is why I've always said we should make politicians live on the average median income while they're in office. Give them the rest of their pay after their stint in office.

I'd completely bet very few of them would know how to live on $60k a year and change would happen a lot quicker than it is now. Especially in the health care arena.

It amazes me average people do not see the major problem here. Rich vs. the Poor (or Middle Class) is the ONLY issue that should be discussed. Everything else flows from that. You do NOT want Rich People controlling you.

The last working class president was Harry Truman, before becoming president he owned a small Haberdashery ( mens suits). After leaving the white house he had to move back in with his mother in law. It was because he had nothing they started ,the pensions the presidents get.

Here's the way I am looking at it. Okay groceries wasn't a good example. You going to carry on about like little children. - or will you see the main point.

Trumps point is making a stricter voter ID to prevent voter fraud. He's suggesting a photo ID card before you can vote. There has been many concerns about how our U.S elections are vulnerable to noncitizen voter fraud.

Quote:

Several past elections – for the presidency and other offices – have been extremely close. Accordingly, ballots cast by noncitizen voters have the potential to improperly alter the outcome of elections. Consider how close the 2000 presidential election was. Could the outcome have been affected by noncitizen voting? The answer is yes.
Did you Democrats get that or as usual, you ignore things. Maybe that's the reason you Dems can not win one influential election. You're pretty good at crying and making fun of people. I'll give you that.

But it's a double edged sword. On one hand we typically put people into office who are completely out of touch with the general population because they are so rich. On the other hand, someone who makes $24.95 an hour putting together car doors at an auto plant can't afford a political campaign, and at the same time we wouldn't want them in office because they would be completely unqualified to negotiate deals on the national stage no less the internet stage.

In this case, our current President is an odd mix... He is rich but also completely unqualified.

It's very easy for an arm chair warrior to sit at home and say "I can do better" but politics is a lot more complicated than all of us know. Trump said it himself when he admitted his new job was "more complicated than he had imagined". It's easy to say "I would do X" but doing "X" has consequences, both intended and unintended. Then factor in anything you attempt to do, half of the people are directly against you. If that's not enough.... An incoming President might walk into office with a handful of very important (and noble) goals, only to get bogged down in "other things" such as the National Security Advisor being forced to resign after less than a month, a hurricane in Puerto Rico, massive flooding in Texas, a Supreme Court Justice dying which requires a political fight to find a replacement, and so on... Not to mention a huge investigation at the same time.

Being President is a nearly impossible task.

and you're missing the real point of this story...

That the president is an out of touch silver spoon motherfucker who was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. He's not even impressive as a rich person because he's not a self-made and has left a trail of destruction in his wake as a businessman, including being a washed-up reality TV star. He didn't quit The Apprentice, NBC fired his fat ass for saying dumb shit which pales in comparison to dumb shit he says as president.
