its all fucking bollocks anyway. Whatever happens will happen and a workaround will be available if its needed straight away... Business as usual.

What's the EU doing?

For us there are yes, but I think many just won't visit a site if it's being censored in the EU, also it will be a big headache for site owners. Hopefully you are right there there will be workarounds for everything, but for now people can still exert an influencing by writing to their MEPs before the vote.

I call it " Fuck the Pirates Law" and as a content producer and owner I applaud it....NOT the end of the Internet but the end of the " endless thievery" or at least the beginning of the end of it.. :thumbsup

If it works the way it should ? You upload and share something which you do not own, will be the same as if you sold a stolen Rolex watch.....You go to jail and be a mommy to big Bubba and Tyrone (or their EU equivalent).

"They voted to approve the controversial Article 13, which critics warn could put an end to memes, remixes and other user-generated content.

Article 11, requiring online platforms to pay publishers a fee if they link to their news content, was also approved."

People who steal from creators like me hate this movement in the EU. Fuck you thieves go-to jail, die then rot in hell :321GFY

Soon, the only place you'll be able to host is in Russia and if you don't do what you're told they'll turn you into authorities in your country :1orglaugh

Following international copyright treaties and creating laws to enforce them is not *censorship". Thieves mentality :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I agree, though I don't believe they will pass this.

I don't care about memes, social networks, gifs, you tube videos and similiar shit. Those who oppose this are used to steal and try to protect themselves with the "fair use", "public domain" or "internet freedom" arguments.

Paying just to post a link to a site or post a quote, that will change the whole way the Internet works

"create a new requirement on websites to obtain a license before linking to news stories (Article 11)"
