Here we go again . . .

I am going to go with "pretty far off".
GDP is easy enough to figure out: https://tradingeconomics.com/russia/gdp |
Here is the stats:
https://d3fy651gv2fhd3.cloudfront.ne...01&d2=20181231 GDP in 1999 in US dollars looks "about right". However, this picture claims GDP in 2013 - at the peak. However. GDP has gone down - a lot - since then. No worries comrade. Trump will fix things for you. |

What the average US citizen, even well informed ones know about putin is what our press wants them to know. From what I understand the average person in Russia knows about the same about Ronald Regan. The interesting part is that talking to people in Russia about Putin is a lot like talking to Republicans about Regan....He is held in very high regard he is seen as having saved the economy and restored national pride. Indeed he is an authoritarian figure as was Regan.
Admitted the scopr of my knowledge is confined to the few people I know and have dealt with there but the consensus is that Putin is a national hero |

GDP see here
https://www.cia.gov/library/publicat...01rank.html#rs and more important not only size of GDP (or GDP by purchase power moni) but how to divide this money inside a country - it depends from the political system. |
