There's more extremism to come from the "tolerant", funded by big business (who also own the constant myriad of, often laughably biased "news" sources to rile up the angry mobs to share it and "protest").
The primary motivation for that is to establish a demographic dead-lock on a one party rule, as well as more income inequality.
See California (deep blue largely due to its imported demographics, a home of some of the most cutting edge business as well as the state with the highest poverty rate in the country) for a harbinger of things to come if the current trend continues.
I am starting to believe that a (hopefully) peaceful separation is the only realistic future for the US.
One part will be able to build their diversity paradise without borders with a constant population growth from the third world (a social experiment), and stop trying to impose this by force on those that do not want that.
While the other part will be able to live as a tight community, upholding their borders and constitution, respecting their heritage and constitutional rights, the way US was originally conceived and supposed to be.
