I hate it when women smoke when they're pregnant! The day I found out I was pregnant I quit smoking, drinking alcohol,caffeine, etc.... I had a chronic headache for 2 weeks but it was definitely worth a healthy child.

Even though I presonally think it is unhealthly...I had a friend who was a smoker and the dr. told her that if she stopped smoking (3 month that is ) that it would cause stress to her fetus. Since the fetus is already a nicotine addicted.

They didn't know about all the long-term effects of it back then like we do now. With what is known to be true now, people should fucking know better than to smoke while pregnant. And basically, if she cares about her unborn child and wants to give it every advantage she can in this world, she would not smoke. Period, the end, no argument needed.


Justifying it by pointing out that parents 30+ years ago did it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Would you smoke while pregnant with an unborn child?

Anyone who even tries to HINT that smoking isn't a perpetuator of heart/lung disease, heart attack, emphizema, and all manner of cardio-vascular disorders hasn't worked in a major hospital or spent any significant time in one. I've seen it first-hand, not only in the elderly but in people of all ages.

I've seen post-op bypass surgery patients get up and go to the smoking area a WEEK after their open-heart surgeries.


I have seen untold hundreds of people that had to have a constant suck on an oxygen tank, and invariably I would find "smoker" written in their chart.


Don't try to justify it, don't even talk to me in defense of it. Smoke em if you got em, enjoy it while you can, but don't try to rationalize it. I've witnessed first-hand where it get's most smokers.
