Memorial Day Weekend - Good Or Bad For Sales?
 

My history and almost ten years of sales stats tell me the upcoming four day Holiday weekend in the US known as Memorial Day will be...less than thrilling.

But what are your experiences? I run paysites but how is Memorial Day Weekend for cams, dating, traffic sales, etc?

Also Adult is considered "high risk" by Visa and the merchant banks so I'm wondering if major Holidays like Memorial Day affect how hard Billers turn up the scrub (screen) and deny transactions out of fear of fraud and chargebacks.

Sales will dip and pick up Teusday & Friday

Memorial day discount mailing to ex members always brings in very high numbers for us. We do this for the 4th of July and Labor Day weekend as well to help offset the summer long weekend drops in traffic and joins.

That's actually what I am preparing to do today. LOL

You should! I do it every few months and it's always successful to varying degrees. It's great to remind people you are still out there, especially if you have anything new to show them. :thumbsup

I read a study saying that Tuesday and Wednesday late afternoons are best for mailings. Maybe that is when people are most bored at work. :) But for the Holiday weekend I did it Wednesday evening and again Thursday afternoon. Many Americans now leave for vacations on Thursdays making Memorial Day a four day weekend.
