Post Like plugin on Wordpress ?
 

Hi guys,

Last time I use a WP plugin that counts the views and the likes, it blew up my database two years later. I had to remove it and to change the theme to stop using it.

So which current plugin offers a Post Like option than won't explode my database in two years? I can go without the number of views.

try jetpack....

The problem with Jetpack is that there's not a lot of explanation about the way to code my own "Most Liked Post" section according to the results.

well i think jetpack can't do that, people can just like posts and thats it from what i noticed :)

Thanks Emma, This plugin has more features that I want and I should be able to code on my own checking their own widget code. I'm just worrying about the size of the database in a year or two. But it's worth a test.

For ratings, I've used https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-postratings/ and program a tricky way to rate pornstars categories turning them into pages.
But visitors don't rate a lot with the stars so I was wondering for a new site to try just a Like/Dislike button to see if they engage more this way.
As this is the way Tubes are doing I thought trying the same on my site who looks more like a blog with teasing video than like a tube.

This plugin looks great as it offers both stars and like/dislike options.

Stars is great to rate a pornstar page and like/dislike to rate a video post.

I assume you have no problem with the size of the database.

Two questions.

1 ) Does echo do_shortcode('[rating_form id="1"]'); works with this plug-in to put it where I want on the page and not only before or after content ?

2) For the Like/Dislike option, could we get the ratio value NbLikes/NbVotes to sort the posts?
