All Democrats voted to pass , only 3 Republicans voted to pass Senate passes bill to reinstate net neutrality The Senate voted Wednesday to pass Democratic legislation to repeal the FCC's dismantling of net neutrality regulations and reinstate net neutrality, 52 yeas to 47 nays. The resolution being offered by Democrats passed with the support of all 49 members of the Democratic caucus and three Republicans – Senators Collins, R-Maine, John Kennedy, R-La., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said, "This is our chance – our best chance – to make sure the internet stays accessible and affordable for all Americans. |

Good news but this only works if 25 members in the House support the Democratic initiative.

This will go nowhere. It has almost zero chance of passing the house and even if it does Trump will likely veto it.
The Democrats know they need to motivate young voters if they want to take back the House and/or Senate in November. Net Neutrality is a big issue for young voters. This will force Republicans to be on record as having voted against Net Neutrality. |
