Bohemian Rhapsody Movie Trailer
Not sure about this one... Sacha Cohen would make a better Freddy Mercury I think. |
|
he dies at the end of the movie.

OMG. I love Queen.
I was a kid when Bohemian Rhapsody came out and my mother used to pay it over and over again on this old huge record player. Since then I've become a huge fan. I had their CD "A Night At The Opera" long before it was made popular by Wayne's World. I just finished a book about Freddie.... Can't wait for this! |
"A Night At The Opera" was a massive success and unbelievably popular when it was released, decades before wayne's world.
|
Sorry but there is noone that can copy Freddie.

Yes I agree, the band wanted it more family friendly. Cohen wanted it more sexual and darker which was the way it was in real life. Freddie was a freak and did live a pg life I guess. But I think the band wanted it to be also more about the band. The one that never happened and it sucks. Mike Myers was going to do the Keith moon story. |
looks fine I like it

Are you kidding? Rami Malek is one of the greatest American actors there is, if not the greatest. Whatever he does will be genius.

I've always loved the backstory on Brian May's guitar, the red special

Oh well! I hope the movie's good. I saw Queen live, twice, when I was a little kid and was blown away. It was fun, it was loud, and they had the coolest light show with robotic arms moving the lights around. I hope they can recapture the thrills of their concerts in this movie. They did 2 special shows here in Montreal. They were not part of any tour - they just played 2 nights in Montreal to shoot a movie. I was there and it kicked ass. |

most goofy guys can't act very well for the most part. |
The title is a little too on-the-nose.
|
The wife and I and the kids all love Queen. Hopefully it will be PG so I can take them to the movies.

I was a huge, huge fan. Still have my VHS tapes — somewhere— of Queen at Live Aid. Freddie had a unique voice, look and life. I read a book about the band, then Freddie, within the past few years. Freddie got a kick out of putting gay symbolism in videos, albums and on stage, and no one noticing. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of my top five rock song favorites. The long version, not radio crap. The movie should include all of the band from the early days until Freddie died. No inclusion of Freddie replacements. Lead singers get more publicity so Freddie’s story needs more time. Hopefully it will be on Netflix quickly. |

why is that so funny? |
Freddie Mercury sounds exactly like the cowardly lion.

It’s so sad that he died so young when he had so much more to give us. That song, while not understood by many, is one of the greatest engineering feats of all time. And, as always, no synthesizers. They’re the death of rock and roll. (I wish the actor good luck in playing Freddie. I doubt anyone can imitate him accurately) |
Queen and The Doors have rocked my youth ... :stoned
|
I hope at least 90% of this movie is about gayness and promoting gay acceptance in 2018. As for the the band Queen, and certainly their music and history, I hope its kept to a minimum, a backdrop, an afterthought. I want the focus of this movie to be as close to 100% about gayness as possible.

Seen it (the trailer) on the local news a while ago. There are many people who love Freddy, but the one in the movie is not even closer... So that movie won't fly - my prediction.

To say he is one of the greatest actors is a bit of an overstatement lol. |
