Selling my business for Bitcoins or Cash?

Ok so i have a big dilemma now.

I'm thinking to sell my business ( which is quite profitable ) for personal reasons ( family, lack of time and some other personal stuff)

I have a number in mind and my first instinct was to sell it for a certain amount of money/cash

However, noways with this economy people are investing money less, or in some other
businesses and crypto currency of course. So basically i was thinking that i might have to wait too much time before somebody interested will want to purchase my business for real cash.

On the other hand i was thinking maybe i should sell it for bitcoins. I know there are a lot of guys who made it big with the btc transactions so basically i might find somebody who
would gladly buy a steady income business ( generating about 2500-3000(€)Euros/month ) with btc . But also ..what if the btc prices will drop significantly after i sell my business? I can't afford to wait months or who knows maybe more, for the btc to get back on track.

So..what would you do guys?

Thanks

k0nr4d 04-30-2018 01:59 AM

If you restrict it to a single payment method that's not that common yet (bitcoin), you'll probably get a lot less money. It's hard to sell projects as it is.

Not to mention that for such a large transaction, the buyer will most likely want to use an escrow service for security. Now I'm sure there are bitcoin escrow services, but probably not as established as Escrow.com for instance.

If you believe in bitcoin, just buy a large amount - no need to tie the two things together.

It matters as i was thinking i could find a buyer that would want to purchase for bitcoins
rather than real cash.
For example. if i would have invested in btc long time ago and obviously i would have
some earning from it, now i would buy strictly from 100% profit, which is much more easier
sort of speaking.

That sounds like it eliminates a ton of buyers that would buy for money.

My bank requires a $45 wire fee, (even more if international) and they ask me to "come into a branch" on weekdays between 9-5 in order to send a wire, I wouldn't even consider buying anything with fiat under those circumstances. Too expensive and difficult. CandidHotties has the right idea :2 cents:

but then you have a shitty bank ;)

i can send wires anywhere with a couple clicks

jscott 04-30-2018 09:40 AM

Yup, but my point being, there are still TONS of these "shitty banks" around the world. Terrible really. They have never had to innovate or get any better, until now! :thumbsup

The Porn Nerd 04-30-2018 09:43 AM

If the site is bringing in 3K a month then 18-20K would be the range. Take that cash and buy 2 Bitcoins with it. :)

You're funny.

So in your opinion, something that generates around 35k/year should sell with around half of its value? Last time i checked a website that generates income would be sold at the price
of it's revenue on at least 15 months total. not less

I forgot to mention that even if i do find the right buyer, i am not accepting bank wire.
Cash or BTC only.
Taxes here are ripping us apart so i don't quite feel the need to pay 16% to my gov, for doing nothing.

not BTC. sell it for basket of 3-5 cryptocurrencies. be wise.

freecartoonporn 04-30-2018 11:14 AM

just sell it to any coin and then cash out.
simple as that.

JuicyStar 04-30-2018 11:35 AM

For money then invest a little in bitcoins I would say..

Actually in today's Adult landscape most people are paying 6-9 months revenue. In mainstream you can ask for 18 months - 2 years. I have bought adult sites, I know what I am talking about. A big reason is with newly-acquired sites you need some maintenance to keep traffic/revenue at those levels and that tends to die off quickly after a sale.

Besides, I am assuming your sites are affiliate sites yes? If you were a Program Owner with exclusive content then yes the price would be higher. But with affiliate sites, and switching so many aff accounts, it's less.

Hey I hope you get 50K+ for your site but in today's world I highly doubt it. Best of luck. :)

:1orglaugh If you can get someone to pay you anything over 35k you should take any type of currency that isn't monopoly money and run cause this is 2018, not 2002. :2 cents:

They are not affiliate sites.
Sites have content ( own produced and bought as well). And yes, with exclusive content

Not anything from Romania is related to cam. So as you assumed( wrong) that the websites are cam related i could also assume you're just like most of the trolls that are jumping to conclusions without asking....

Btw..what country are you from anyways?

The websites started as a hobby, i'm not earning my living from them. I have a different income source so anything extra is good in any amount i can get.
3k euro a month is a good money in my books. money are goood no matter what or how much. 3k yes for some maybe is not a big deal for some. Probably you when you started in this biz you made it big from day one ( money raining down on you from every direction). Now you're a "bored billionaire" and a ignorant one as well i suppose( just like the other smart ass who thinks that if i am from Romania my business is related to cam)

Well being from Romania and not saying what your site was it is not weird to assume it is cams. And all I am saying is, in Romania $750 euro a week will buy you a palace and fifty cam sluts to suck your dick all day long. LOL

As I said, I hope you get a lot of money for your site. A site is really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and there is a sucker born every day.

PS: And I did not insult you in my posts by calling you names BUT, seeing as how you are from Romania and naturally a fucking asshole who insults people, fuck you and your shitty site. :321GFY

You did insulted me when you assumed (just like some other ignorant prick) that if i am from Romania, that money would be just enough compared to the country you're living in. I don't know about that 750 figure that will buy you a palace and 50 sluts to suck your dick. I think you are making a confusion. That might work in India or maybe in your trailer park neighbourhood. With 750 you can buy one or maybe twoo girls for the night if you're lucky. I didn't named my website here because i didn't considered to be important in the conversation. I wanted an opinion about what should i do, it was not intended to be a sales thread.

OK man, peace be with you. :) I do not hate anyone, just reacted like the wild New Yorker I am. I live in Manhattan and $750 would not even get you a roommate situation here. Maybe two girls like you said, or maybe three if they are Korean. :D

Prices have gone up in Romania then. A few years ago a girl would cost $40 euro. LOL

Well, you still can find girls that cost 40bucks. But then you would need to spend some more on antibiotics. Just like you can find with 10 bucks in New York. Peace ✌️

Not for an adult site...its reality

6-10 months is normal, I buy tons of sites trust me

It makes 35K IF everything stays good and the new owner likely puts in X amount hours of work per week.

rowan 05-03-2018 12:07 AM

Combining a site sale with a cryptocurrency gamble seems like a novel idea!

Even if anyone has "profited" from old BTC investments they'll still be mentally pegging the value of their BTC holdings to their local currency (or USD). So it's not like someone who bought 100 BTC for $100 will necessarily want to spend 5 of them on your site.
