Saw this.. with the raid of Trump's attorney by the NY state DA its clear they are setting up a side case on these pay offs. Here is the kicker, it's not that he had the affairs or that he paid them off that will get him charged. The crime is when they used the alias and fake names to cover it up..

This is the case that will get Trump criminally charged. He will just get Impeached with the Muller stuff, but the pay offs are the 1st of many criminal charges that will come from the state attorney office and those will be the ones he gets criminally convicted with.

On the flip side he can likely drag out cases like these for quite some time, so the DA will likely push for some sort of plea deal.

My bet is this 1st one will be the salvo fired across the bow, as a way to push him into a plea deal or they go after his real estate empire for laundering money..

except a president can't be impeached for things he did prior to taking office. Pretty sure he can't be criminally charged while in office either. The left is doing this to rouse the rabble.In the real world, the witch hunt won't matter

I know I might be reaching here.... But they seem focused on the Access Hollywood tape and what happened around that time. It seems that the Access Hollywood tape was released, and then a few days later the DNC emails were released.... The timing is amazing - the perfect distraction when Trump needed it the most.

Is it possible the Russian government hacked the DNC, gave the emails to Wikileaks, and the Trump campaign - or perhaps Cohen - coordinated the release of the emails directly after the Access Hollywood tapes?

Federally, Trump can't be charged with a crime as a sitting president he can only be impeached. States can criminally charge him if the crime took place in their state..

We are talking about multiple investigations.

One investigation is the Trump campaign's collusion with the Russian government. We already know there was collusion at some level - one of his "coffee boys" was flying off to London to meet with Russian agents, and then telling ambassadors from other countries that the Russians had dirt on Hillary and the DNC hacks before anyone in the US knew about it. Of course that's only one aspect of the case.

The second investigation is into Trump's attorney, Mr. Cohen. Somewhere along the line it seems he broke some law. It might be bank fraud, wire fraud, intimidation, or something else completely.

What is amazing to me is the dozen investigations into Hillary Clinton, and how she wasn't concerned about it at all. It might have cost her the election, but legally she did nothing wrong. She didn't sit there and bitch about how it was a witch hunt (which it was - a dozen investigations ALL of which proved she was innocent). It wasn't the Democrat party line that this was a witch hunt.

If Trump has done nothing wrong, why is anyone concerned about it?

This is not a game. It's very easy to say "she mishandled classified information". But that's not the truth at all. She did what was COMMON at both the State Department AND Congress. You (and all Republicans) are making this out that this was something Hillary did, and it's horrible. The truth is this was common - Colin Powell had this SAME EXACT SET UP.

She mishandled information? Did anything leak out to the public? Nope. Did anything get out to any foreign sources? Nope. In fact, the only thing that did any harm was done by the investigation itself.

You want to press charges? Great, let's do it. (I could care less about Clinton.) We know what Clinton did, but if she can be charged and we know others have also done this... We'll have to have more investigations. Let's start looking at Congress, both Republican and Democrat, and figure out who else has "mishandled" classified information and used a "personal server" to send / receive classified information. Then we can look at other former Secretaries of State, and we can press charges on them. We know for a fact two other Republican Secretary of States have done this also - we'll have to investigate and charge them. And while we are at it, we need to look at all of the other government departments and agencies and see if they have done it too - CIA, NSA, military..... And so on.

We should do this. It's a matter of national security. We need to know what damage was done. Let's start with Colin Powell and see if he mishandled information, and if anything was hacked. Nunes too.

Why haven't we done this? We know for a fact others have had the same exact set up. The reason we haven't done this is because this was nothing more than an attack on a political candidate, and none of them wanted a larger investigation.

Also, there is no such thing as "mainstream media". The mainstream media IS the media. Fox News isn't news, it's all opinion. When you have so called newscasters attacking other newscasters and bullying teenagers who just survived a mass shooting, well, you are no longer news at that point.
