CCBill Question

Is CCBill basically just for membership sites or can it be used with a retail store that sells many items?

corvette 04-30-2003 10:38 AM

CCBill can process for a range of different services, not just membership sites, although we do process for many of those. We do not currently process for tangible goods, though

Most people don't want to incorperate in the US as well and pay taxes in multiple countries and deal with lots of other annoying stuff such as that :)

Hey Corvett, would like to ask you... whats up with you refund policy??

Should we start putting "money back guarantee" on our site... since you'll refund those who are asking for it?!

If you operate a real brick-and-mortar store why not just get a regular merchant account from your bank? I'm no expert but as I understand it, it is MUCH easier than getting a high-risk Internet merchant account. And the fees are WAY lower than any 3rd party processor. (like only 2-3%)

Even if you are Internet based, as long as you are not "high risk" you may still be better off going to your bank. It never hurts to talk to them.

Well, it depends?every time a customer communicates with us; we have to make a subjective decision.
If you can give me a particular example, I can see if I can find out what happened
Send me the details:

Remember one thing though, we don?t charge our fee off of refunded transactions. Our fee calculation is: [Gross Sales ? refunds/returns = amount that we base the CCBill fee off of]

So every time that we refund a transaction, it means that we did not make a penny off of the original transaction, although we did have to pay for all of the costs associated with processing and refunding that transaction

You can see that it is not in our best financial interest to freely refund transactions.
