hahahahaha

Sarah_Jayne 04-30-2003 04:27 AM

haha..well strangely I do have one of their albums in my collection. I have no idea how it got there but my best guess was that it was a mistake made when I joined one of those record clubs whenI started university. Then I moved to the UK where no one knew who they were. They tried to introduce themselves this past summer. For about a month everywhere you went in London there were posters saying 'Who is Dave Matthews?' trying to create a mystique..it didn't work.

dantheman 04-30-2003 06:17 AM

jimmi thing is a good one:glugglug

Zebra 04-30-2003 07:18 AM

Hmmm.. they have been one of the top 5 earning touring bands for the past 3 years in a row so someone must like them.
I took my kid to see them last summer in Dallas and going to see them again in July.
They put on a good show :thumbsup

yeah I've seen dmb about 10 times, they played alot around here in the early 90's hitting the bigger college towns, I knew they/he would be huge. ton of talent. They last couple of releases have disappointed me a little.

Rochard 04-30-2003 08:28 AM

I've got front row tickets for July!!!!!!!!! Can't wait! I've seen them every time they come town!

Jakke PNG 04-30-2003 08:36 AM

I prefer "Don Johnson big band" :glugglug
Hiphop shit. :) Nice chilling music.

Helsinki Cadenza,
Jesus Adidas
and
One MC, one delay

are damn nice songs. :)

PersianKitty 04-30-2003 09:10 AM

I actually ran into Dave Matthews in Seattle a few months ago. I had to drop my cat off at the surgeon... this guy who was walking by stopped and asked what was in the pet carrier as I was locking my car. He peeked at my cat and went on down the sidewalk. Didn't phase me although I thought he looked familiar. When I walked into the surgeon's office.. the girls at the desk were asking me if I got his autograph. I said "whose?" Then they told me who I'd been talking to. I guess he lives a couple of blocks from there. After the office visit I went to the cafe nearby and got lunch to go. He was walking out as I walked in and said "The cat doesn't get lunch?"

Strange world..

swedguy 05-06-2003 04:57 AM

I just love "Satellite" :thumbsup

Pornwolf 05-06-2003 05:10 AM

Here's another vote for Crash. But make sure you get the live version. It's better than the original and you should be able to find it at 360kbs.

PR_Phil 05-06-2003 05:20 AM

DMB kicks some serious ass, some of their best songs are covers, they do a cover of a Phish song called 'Waste' it's prbly my favorite, right now I'm listening to a DMB cover of pearl Jams 'Daughter' were Dave sounds just like Eddie.

The animal surgery clinic is at 41st and Stone Way. That's a bit Southwest from Dicks.

pipp 05-06-2003 08:32 AM

The album "Crash" is good stuff

vending_machine 05-06-2003 08:53 AM

I dig their live shows the most, especially Dave & Tim. I have about 30 or so live recordings that I listen to off and on :)

Edit: My favorite is ... hmm.. it's a tough one, let's say Ants Marching.

My sister met him hanging out in Fremont.
All Dave sightings relate what a nice guy he is. :)

Theo 05-06-2003 12:31 PM

hello beavis, we'll have to wait till September to find out according to the 7 day theory :-)

I read an article on a newspaper the other day wihch had a top10 of band revenues for the last year and DMB was among them. If it is accurate I can only assume is a result of a "habit" they got from their tours with the Stones....meaning innumerable big concerts in short period of time.

thanks everyone for the song suggestions.

[Labret] 05-06-2003 12:32 PM

Dave Mathews sucks.

Kimmykim 05-06-2003 01:14 PM

Live at Fulsom Field is a great live cd...

I'll see you at Cricket, RocHard :)

I'm so tired of listening to DMB just because he's so fucking overplayed.

But the best DM download is his cover of Elvis' "Stuck on You". It makes my clit exit her pink hood. I hope the mountain never gets ahold of it and starts playing it to death.
