Watergate was a break in, and some spying on the opposition party. Sixty-nine people were charged with crimes. Most of the crimes people were charged with were obstruction of justice, lying under oath, illegal wiretapping, burglary, illegal campaigning, and other crimes. Some people were sentenced to forty years in prison.

This is much more serious. A lot of people will be facing charges of lying under oath and obstruction of justice. The range of charges people could be faced with would be huge. Treason, aiding and abetting the enemy, money laundering, bribery, election fraud, failure to register as a foreign agent....

People are being charged, and people are going to go to trial. People are going to go to jail. Mueller is still looking at the low hanging fruit. He is not even going after the big people yet - Jeff Sessions, Don and Eric Trump, Bannon, Priebus, Jared... That goal is to get the smaller people to flip on the bigger people and that's exactly what's happening.
