    Paysite owners - % of members on dialup?

    I've gotten many answers and need to know if I should optimize my sites for broadband or dialup users.

    I've heard as much as 60% of members are on dialup, while other say dialup folks dont buy porn....

    Any input appreciated.

          Can traffic be filtered based on connection?

          Would be great if you could send cable users to your high end tour and dial-up users to your low end tour.

                  Yep, by a simple click here if you are on dialup, click here if you have broadband.

                  I guess you could also make a list of IP ranges for cable/DSL customers, and have them redirected to a higher quality tour.. wouldnt get everyone though.

                      Not exactly what I was looking for... I was hoping you could filter it like they filter foreign traffic, which I guess is based on the IP range, no?

                              i think the best bet is to just offer options next to your vid clips if you have them for dialup

                                      Search on yahoo for "Internet speed test"
                                      Maybe have your index automatically test the users speed and send them to the correct page.......

                                      Would take some scripting....

                                          I think you can have traffic from dial up but not members, i don't know for sure but i don't think dial up people are buying porn.

                                                      Dial-up users are more likely to join pictures sites, I think. It would be pretty stupid to pay $40 a month for a movie site if you were on dial-up. You'd have to leave your connection on hours and hours for each movie.
