I am fascinated by the psychology behind the life of an escort. If you have personal experience with these women, I would like to know in general what led them to this career choice. Especially when I see a gorgeous 18-21 year old girl(american or not) who is an escort I have to wonder-wouldn't she be happier marrying a nice rich guy who could take care of her without forcing her to have sex with random guys? is it usually a case of childhood abuse like many porn girls? is it low self esteem?or do they actually enjoy banging random guys for $?

The first guy is right except for the child abuse part in most cases. We've shot a ton of escorts and alot of them have had child hood problems, look at all the hot sluts THAT DONT do this sorta stuff and then look at the ones that DO, and look into there past, alot of them didnt grow up with fathers and seek attention from men.

i think it's the independence of making big money on there own..making own hours..instant cash..marrying a rich guy isnt the carefree life style that the average escort wants

There are plenty of escort stereotypes, but a few hold true.

1) Single mom. A huge amount of escorts are single mothers that may or may not have been in the adult industry before but find the money and hours tempting.

2) Former dancers. Many formers dancers can no longer work at clubs because they no longer qualify for the county license.

3) Grown-up streetwalkers. Alot of former streetwalkers beat the streets, leave the grasp of gorilla pimps, savvy with years of hustling on the stroll.

4) Sex addicts. Typically, these are current or former swingers that escort for the sex or better said volume of sex.

5) Escorts tend to be older. Pretty, young girls with little or no job skills tend to dance and not escort.

6) Escorts are more internet savvy. You would be surprised how many have advanced degrees, own homes, have good credit, etc.

I've known 100's of Escorts over the last few years and they work for all types of reasons and come from all types of backgrounds...

Single Moms - Plenty of them out there, Escorting gives them the opportunity to work 1 night a week and earn a full weeks pay - usually this is done just to improve the quality of life for themselves and their children.

Business Women - Yes, that's right, even executives work on the side, I knew a female Doctor that worked for 1 month to increase her spending money for a big holiday she was planning...

Junkies - we'll, that element will always been there...

Bad Childhoods - There are many girls which have had bad experiences when they were younger and have little self respect.

Students - College girls who want some cash on the side - work 1 day a week and pay your own way through school.

The Rest - Any female could be or could have been a worker at some point in their lives and you would never know, it's not something they make public knowledge, but everybody that gets into the industry for their own reasons, there is no average..........

The level of support workers provide each other is amazing, to them it's just a job, just like looking at porn all day becomes just a job.

But in a Nutshell....
The majority of girls I've know over the years have been great and wonderful people! I've made many friends from the Industry who I have regular contact with...

I can talk about one case of a model I worked with a while ago who went to a large city to go to a university and did some modeling to help support herself. She didn't do b/g hard-core and stuck with solo girl and two-girl stills and video. Even did some work for fairly major producers. However, she was pulling in $250 here and $500 there and was working with girls who also did softer material yet drove new BMW's and lived in $2000/mo apartments whereas she drove a beater and had to do the shared living thing. Finally she asked one of the more prosperous how she could manage the lifestyle and that was how she got introduced to the world of high-class escorts.

She met men who could affort $1000-$2000 a night for dinner and a show followed by some sex. She said one of the biggest problems girls in her industry have is Eastern European imports who'll do dinner and a show, fuck the guy's brains out, and cook him breakfast for $250-$500.

So, what is the motivation? Money. You wonder why an attractive 18-21 girl wouldn't just marry a rich guy. In thi sparticular case, she was trolling for a rich guy and even fell from time to time, but of course what has taken her a while to realize is that while these men (many of whom already have girlfriends and/or wives) may think she's pretty and witty and good company, they are not going to marry a prostitute.
