Republicans try to block states from creating net neutrality rules

State Rights! State Rights! We always hear republicans whining about state rights.. That is until states want to do something Republicans and their big business doners don't like...

Not even 2 weeks since they threw away net neutrality Republicans are trying to fuck over state rights and to set up "pay to play" internet fast lanes...

Basically setting it in stone that it's OK for ISPS to throttle https://www.inverse.com/article/3967...net-fast-lanes

surprised ?

This shouldn't be a state issue, it should be a federal issue. We cannot have fifty plus laws about net neutrality.

The nics are waiting to respond until morning when they get their talking points in :2 cents:

Their posts last week about high cable rates & throttling being good are fucking disgusting Russian propoganda to support Trump with trolls no matter what.

I 100% agree, but the fed govt under Trump is corrupted so it becomes the states job to protect the people's rights until the fed govt gets sorted out.

One of the beautiful things about our government is that it refreshes itself every four years. If are aren't happy we can remove them from office.

I understand the states want to step in to make up for the lack of experience, but having fifty laws about this is a bit too much. Imagine if in our industry we had fifty different laws about how to online processing - then multiple that by 130 countries.
