no bigger hard drive for now...just the chip. The ability to play my favorite Japanime region free has me stoked..not to mention being able to save games to the hard drive

I didnt do it myself..I had a local guy here in LA do it...completed the job an an hour and a half..and yes you can play burned games..im playing Soul Calibur 2 right now

By VCD I meant Video CD, like you'd download an episode of Jackass and burn it to CD... will it play on the xbox?

I went and did a few searches on the web, and they have this XBOX Media Player now.... so I guess you could install it and have it run with the chip ...

how hard is it compared? Welding is welding, so it shouldn't be too hard if that's the only thing you need to do I would think?

i have one as well, it wont go on xbox live, but its good for those rare one player games that are worth playing

you can get a switch to turn the chip off before getting on xbox live..because once you go on and xbl notices the chip, your banned

what pisses me off is.. i was a beta tester for xbox live...played it for like 2 months before it launched, then on launch day i got fucking banned. fuck. :feels-hot

Such bullshit. Those stupid "region" restrictions are clear violations of import/trade laws, anyway. You bought the hardware, you should be able to play it online.

yeah i know :( i was sure i got told its out this summer (when i asked earlier this year) and few weeks ago i asked again and was told it wont be out till later next year..

It was actually slated for this month, then got bumped, then got bumped, then got ... oh fuck, you get the idea. April 2004 is the new date but I'm sure it'll be sometime in 2007.

Apparently it will be something else when it is realeased! I am still waiting for the impact star wars galaxies will make...hopefully it isn't a bomb
