Everyone made fun of the new nvidia card before it came out. the fan is huge, its not a whole lot better than ati 9700 etc...

holy shit, its only $80... my good old geforce4 ti4200 is still twice as much..

that kinda explains their strategy.. if this card is really better than ati9700pro, its such a sweet deal!

Geez, I regret paying $400+ for my Ti4600 :(

Something has got to be wrong with that. What am I misreading, here? I can't believe that the newest top-of-the-line video card is actually selling for $80.

Man, the Radeon site sucks ass. It's almost like they are trying to hide information. Can anyone find actual performance numbers?

Here's the GeForce FX 5200:

Memory Bandwidth: 10.4GB/sec.
Fill Rate: 1.3 billion texels/sec.
Vertices per Second: 81 million/sec.
Maximum Memory: 128MB

Edit: GeForce also has the 5600 and 5800. Maybe they alll launched together and that drove the price down?

I was just about to buy a new video card, was going for the ATI 9800. But now with this news... I might hold off and see what this Geforce is all about?

Its a MIDDLECLASS board aimed to battle ATI 9000 and 9500/9600

GainWord is one of the largest vid card mfrs. in the world.

... And since the Radeon 9500 NON-Pro can be softhacked to a Radeon 9800, this is probably why GeForce is trying to battle it out.
