Accountants?!?!
 

We are looking for a new accountant for our company. Anyone have an accountant that they are impressed with and knows how to deal with a lot of adult related, assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses?

Preferablly Canadian, but any insight as to how you deal with this would be nice. Currently we are not impressed with our accountant of 3 years.

if you don't mind paying $500 (canadians) or more per hour, go for a firm like KPMG. you can't go wrong there

So far I have been asked to leave 3 offices in Canada.

They just don't want to deal with adult companies. Most of them don't know absolute jack shit about this business and cross border issues anyway, and will land you in tax court with the CCRA.

Try to get informal help from a friend or a friend of a friend.

My main concern is advertising paid out to American companies - considering they can disallow these expenses because they were not spent with Canadian businesses per the mainstream media tradewar.

Well if they disallow those expenses they'll have to disallow any income from the American companies too.. that won't make sense so just get yourself an experienced accountant that's all.

That does not make sense at all, or they'd have to discount all the expenses Canadian businesses do with American companies...

Finding a weathered accountant for adult sites is pretty tough though!

I'm sure if you really worked hard with a smart experienced accountant you could find a lot of places where money ca be saved.

I'm not talking evasion by any means, I'm talking about cutting down on the money you have to send to the government legitimately.
