just caught a scammer!
 

This guy tried to send me a fake check for $600 and it was obviously fake. I know he's done it to a bunch of other people also, so I want to take this piece of shit down. Long story short, he denied the whole thing and it went back and forth until my latest email. Made me laugh for a little while:

YOU LYING SACK OF SHIT! You think you can get away with scamming people? ROFL Your IP is 213.224.83.103 and I just want you to know in the back of your mind every waking minute that I have it and there's no telling when the cops are going to show up to haul you off. You are the scum of the earth, and I hope you're watch your back everywhere you go from now on because I've got you. I'm taking you down, fucker!

know what i like? subtlety and calmness, and especially refrain from using profanity when i'm going after someone. i prolly just would have said "i have your ip address, my crew is on their way".

I agree with you 100%, I should have been more thorough in my story and said that this was after about 50 emails of calmness and the guy still tried to pass it off as real, giving me ridiculous stories and cursing at me for not taking his info that was so obviously fake. I'm normally extremely professional and courteous, even to the most annoying customers. Finally I had enough and wanted to make this guy scared to do it again, because I know for a fact while all this was going on he was cheating other people out of money who fell for it.

Nowadays people don't get it unless you threaten them.

If you have his real address, mail him a fish with a note saying that big brother is watching...:winkwink:
