Society is disappointing. On one hand you have Roy Moore who is being accused of raping minors and he continues to deny it although it's plainly obvious he is lying. On the other hand you have comedian on a USO tour who is being accused of kissing a woman during a skit, and then taking a funny photo where it looks like he groped a woman who was sleeping.

I am surely not defending Al Franken, but I'll give him a lot of leeway because he was a comedian when this happened.

However, what amazes me is how these two people reacted to these accusations.

Roy Moore is denying everything. He said, on camera, that he has no idea who the latest victim was, that he had never met her, and never heard of the restaurant that she worked at. She came forward with her year book which he not only signed, but also mentioned the very restaurant he denied ever hearing about. Roy Moore is calling this a "political witch hunt".

On the other hand you have Al Franken. Shortly after this story broke he admitted he had done this, accepted it, apologized for it, and welcomed an investigation into his actions. He said - and I am quoting here - "I am asking that an ethics investigation be undertaken, and I will gladly cooperate."

No, I am not biased. I could care less about Al Franken. I could care less about Al Franken the comedian, and I can care less about AL Freanken the Senator. I don't pay attention to him or what he does; The only reason I saw the Facebook post is because someone shared it. (I don't follow politicians on Facebook or in general.)

The difference here is how it's being handled. One is all about "deny and defelect" while the other is admitting what he's done, telling everyone he is sorry, and welcoming an ethics investigation.

The following day this woman came forward with her high school yearbook he not only signed, but also referenced the exact restaurant he claimed to "not have heard of". It was well known he was a pervert into teenagers; He was banned from the local mall for being so creepy.

I get most of my news online these days, and try to avoid news on TV unless there is some big event.

I watched a little bit of CNN while they were talking about Franken, right up until Jake Tapper had the woman on and... I just couldn't stand her. It was odd. I felt like I wanted to hate fuck her. Odd.

I don't get my news online from one source; I use news feeds, different ones depending on what device I am on. Oddly enough I use different ones for my PC, laptop, and cell phone.

Polls is all we have. I know what you are going to say - they called Trump wrong. It happens; It's happens before. But in the mean time polls is all we have.

The reality is Roy Moore's chances nose dived, and for obvious reasons. You can argue someone is a Republican all you want, but they don't like electing someone who is accused by multiple women of child rape.

Ron Jeremy is an entirely different can a worms. Allegations against him have been around for awhile. I used to like Ron Jeremy, until an incident that happened at one of the shows.

Some of the recent allegations are eerily similar to what happened at that show and as far as I know, this is one that hasn't been reported.
