Why does it display only some local files to choose for upload?

I usually use FTP Voyager but today It's WSFTP..

I checked permissions and that seems to be ok.

You must be kidding. This program is always full of bugs. And yes I'm also using it for years. The current version 7.62 is the worst one since a very long time

... ah, you gotta love ftp clients that send passwords in clear text formats ... don´t wonder when your servers get hacked ...

Are you trying to aquire files from a network to upload or something? It should allow you to source the files from over the network.. we do it all the time. (We each have files on either computer that we use constantly so.. )

it's all about Windows Explore... oh baby, oh yeah... well, it gets me by in a pinch. Comes in reeeal handy when all your trial licenses expire... lol
