UK opposes term 'pregnant women' as it excludes trans people
 

The government has said the term ?pregnant woman? should not be used in a UN treaty because it ?excludes? transgender people. The statement comes in Britain?s official submission on proposed amendments to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which the UK has been a signatory since 1976. The UN treaty says a ?pregnant woman? must be protected, including not being subject to the death penalty.

Laws are being rewritten, they are not updated that often and its very important the wording is right in such laws or offenders will find a work around

I am always wondering - many libbies praise science over something else, but when it comes to these specimen, they deny science and go with some looney tune imagination.

Who 'believes' in science? That doesn't make sense. Science is the search for truth, not the truth. Things are proven and become factual once proven, yes, but they can also be proven false later by the same method through more research as well. Do you honestly believe that there are no scientists that believe in one form of religion or another? More do not, especially these days, but it is by no stretch universal.

My suggestion is to stop pretending you have the whole world figured out because you say science says so. By saying this you become no different than any other theist. It is not an absolute today and wont be tomorrow.
