Roger Waters "Us and Them" show in Montreal - AMAZING!

I don't need to tell you who Roger Waters is. All I need to say is if the tour is coming to your town, GO.

Saw the show yesterday in Montreal. Beautiful. Moving. Brilliant. And probably the best sound I've ever heard in any concert.

PaperstreetWinston 10-18-2017 07:32 AM

I have no doubts about that. They always did the best shows.

BlackCrayon 10-18-2017 07:32 AM

I wish i would of made it to the show in ottawa. I saw him during the wall tour in 2012 and that was amazing and from the vidoes i've seen its quite a huge production. though waters is 74 and doesn't do much of the singing, its probably the last big tour he will do.

Rogert Waters is playing Montreal again tomorrow night (Thursday). You should go! Tickets are still available. Even if you go by yourself, it's really worth it and Montreals less than a 2 hour drive from Ottawa.

My family went yesterday, just with they could've told me when they were going...

I saw the original wall concert when i was a teenager... best concert ever.

Is he still mixing music with politics?

You could say that...

I think a few GFY'ers would lose their shit after seeing all these Trump Truths at an epic concert like this.

Saw him in Montreal a while back, a great show to see

Got tickets to two stops on the tour. Looking forward to it.

David Gilmour killed it as well two years ago.

Political statements can't be made and expressed through art? Many other artists must have missed the memo...

As a side note, if you're familiar with his work, his views have long been an integral part of his art/craft.

Not familiar. So he has been a leftard for years?
Ok, at least he may have some justification and not merely jumping anti Trump train then.

As for expressing political statements, not like this, no, have not seen much like that before Trump at all. This is not a statement, this is pure disgusting name calling.

You clearly have not been to the show. This is the farthest thing from name calling. Go to the show and then comment.

sperbonzo 10-19-2017 12:21 PM

As a Jew I would NEVER support that asshole.... And I'm sure he wouldn't want my support anyway...

I have a thing about anti-semites....

Huh? I have seen the pictures where it is literally just name calling: Trump is X, Trump is Y, Trump is Z etc.
How is literal name calling the farthest thing from name calling? :1orglaugh It is not eve the closest thing, it is the thing.

Paul Markham 10-20-2017 08:52 AM

We went to Prague in 2015to see Roger Waters perform the Wall. He still cracks it up.

Ok. He calls Trump a pig, but really, You would have to see the show. The show has all kinds of images of trump played on the background while certain songs play. In the end Trump is called a Pig, but only after lots of quotes from Trump are displayed. Waters isn't name-calling. He's pointing out a fact.

In other parts of the show like this one,

http://images.entertainment.ie/image...x372/trump.png

he isn't calling Trump a name. He's making a statement or at least voicing an opinion on Trump.

Really? Calling somebody racist, sexist, pig etc is not "calling names" but "voicing opinion"?
Ok, fair enough. In that case name calling does not exist n the world, period. It is just "voicing the opinion".

Oh, and "fuck Trump" is also just "voicing an opinion".
Everything is voicing an opinion, lol.

So its ok for him to make sexist comments, but not call him a sexist?

I get your point, but my point is this: He didn't just call him names. He used art, images and music, and quotes and actions from Trump himself to point out who and what he really is. To me it's alot different than just name calling.

He's an anti-Semite because he doesn't like it argree Israeli government? Don't think so mate. Just because someone is against the way Israel treats Palestine doesn't make them an anti Semite.

The Porn Nerd 10-20-2017 01:35 PM

He also says "coon" and "queer" in The Wall.
Just sayin'.
