Calif law is even worse.
I am having a contractor add on to my house. We had to sign a mechanics lien to him in case we failed to pay. I totally agree with that and we have paid all but the last 5000 due upon completation of his work. That's cool. Anyway, I got a preliminary notice in the mail from the lumber yard the other day that the CONTRACTOR has an OPEN account with saying that the LUMBER business can put a lien against my house if the contractor fails to pay his bill.. This is per some civil code section.. Total bull since the contractor has an OPEN account.. It's amazing that a law allows the lumber yard to go after the owner of the house who did not apply for the open credit account or has the lumber bill ....If the contractor failed to pay, I would have to prove that I had paid him the money.. Good thing he is someone I know and can trust... ( knock on wood ) |

Just don't deny the holocaust or challenge any statistic regarding it in Germany or you'll end up in jail for a good length of time. |

I have to say Germany is not the place to do internet porn. The companies you list are adult video producers. They produce for adults that can be checked as an adult when entering the video store or rental place. With the new cildren protection law that came into effect in April all Internet porn is basically illegal. That means everything that shows pussy lips or an errected penis or more is illegal due to the fact that there is not one AVS that is deemed legal by the German government. |

But aside from that, if you simply look at some of the facts (Holland is the most densely populated first world western country in the world, the two major cities have a population which consists of - at least - 60% immigrants), the point I made earlier is obvious: this place is pretty popular. |

Is there any enforcement, Andi? |

Do they enforce them? |
It's not a good thing when you fear getting arrested because you say something like "Here is the evidence that 5.6 million Jews died in the Holocaust" and not 6 million.

'how i miss that feeling now.'

"Wick opened the investigation after allegations that a copy of Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf" had been listed on Yahoo Deutschland's auction site on Feb. 1. The book is illegal under German laws banning Nazi propaganda."
I own a copy of Mein Kampf. Am I a bad person? |
Anyone who has a internet business, based in the US, especially an adult oriented business is just one step away from a criminal indictment, a civil law suit by the federal trade commission, or a private civil law suit.
Which will either put you in jail, put you out of business, or make you realize you better get of the US before either or both of those things happen. Just ask Joe Francis how great it is to be in the US. If you don't believe this, you are living with the, "It won't happen to me" fantasy. |
ya but at least most of the people in the US shower everyday and the women usually don't have hairy legs or armpits

Canada's laws in this matter differ in no way from American Hate laws. Where denouncing the Holocost is illegal is if you were a teacher or other person in a position of considerable influence over others, and you were teaching that the Holocost did not happen or that the deaths or atrocities were significantly inflated. Or in any other way spreading your beliefs so as to instill hate of another race, religion, disability, and so on. |
