I stayed up late watching it as well , incredible game. This playoff year must have a record for most multiple period overtime games or something. Best time of year

At least you guys have some decent sports teams out there. I'm stuck here in South Florida...four major sport franchises and no playoffs. No wonder I'm a Yankee fan.:winkwink:

I remember when they announced the name of their team after they got the franchise. A friend told me and I laughed at him. There was no way a self-respecting city and team can have a team called the Ducks. Live and learn.

The NHL's contract with ESPN is up this year. Ratings are horrible and they'll be lucky if ESPN agrees to show their games for free, or find another network. Every major network in the U.S. has taken a shot at making hockey the next big thing and all have failed.

Forget hockey in 2004, it's going to be shut down for a long time.

Average NHL player makes more than the average NFL player - NFL franchises are valued at 750 - 1 BILLION dollars, NHL franchises are worth 75-150 MILLION. NHL's economics are so out of whack it ain't funny.
