The greatest and worst team in baseball all at the same time... it boggles the mind. :glugglug

of course they'll be in the playoffs, make the WS well that's another question:/

fucking kicks ass the whole season,, i think they won the penant for like 7 out of last 10 years

but just loose it in the playoffs

I have to admit though Braves games are fun to go to. hmm maybe I just go for the beers! lol

we should get up a group and go see them this year, I go to a few every year.

that would rock, I'm a Braves fan from back when they used to really suck, not just suck in October....

the reason the Braves do so well throughout the season is their pitching...their starters can overcome the bad game or two and they also beat the teams they are "expected" to beat, but when playoffs roll around, you can't cover up weakness on the bench and weak hitting...

I've really loved watching Marcus Giles come alive with the bat this season and watching him become competent in the field is a nice bonus....

Yeah I've liked them since the year before they became any good, 90 I think, maybe 89... had family in the area and went to a couple games.

Playoffs, yes, World Series, not so sure as of yet.

I remember the really painful years, especially from 85-89....in highschool, I even had to hide my Braves hat for a little while...

things like the Brett Butler curse, Nick Esaski's health problems after a much-hyped trade, the other Randy Johnson, when their "hot" shortstop was Andres Thomas...and Dale Murphy getting trded to the Phillies (just before the Braves started becoming "good") although, I can't remember a World Series as exciting as '91 between the Braves and the Twins........two teams who were the laughstocks of baseball the previous eyar going all the way to the World Series and playing one hell of an exciting series...and the big Braves comeback to get there in the first place...ahhhhh, memories...
