Traffic worth paying for?

I've purchased traffic before bu never got any results. Just wondering if any of you know of a good place to buy traffic that actually equals signups? Thanks.

Anyone have results from spotbrokers?

Think about what you're asking. Why would someone sell traffic for less than they could make running it to a sponsor or converting that traffic themselves?

Not to long ago I paid $75 to spotbrokers for 45K hits to my gallery. I ended up with 5 sign-ups to iteens (topbucks). I have tried them since then but I have not ended up with as good results.

I'm about to spend $100 with them on a sponsor that hasnt been used very much. Hopefully it'll be a good deal and I'll buy more.

Couple of suggestions regarding our traffic --

1. 3-5 galleries per category that you are allocating traffic for --
2. hosted galleries are fine but so many people see those you are better off to spend a few bucks or some time and make galleries that are really good and not exposed... va2k makes some great galleries at good prices, I highly recommend him.
3. Make sure your sponsor and content matches as closely the category you buy for as possible. We review them all and do tell people they have miscategorized but the better you match them up yourself the better the results.

4. Last but not least -- the niche type traffic kicks ass, the general hardcore, teen, saturation point traffic is not as productive. I don't mind telling you that because it's true.

We want to see people do as well as possible with the traffic, since that turns you into repeat buyers.

NetRodent, the reason that we sell traffic has nothing to do with making less than we could converting it ourselves. We've got about 2 million processable uniques a day in the gallery program alone -- when I say processable I mean by the major IPSPs, all the junk that cant sign up with a cc is filtered out -- and on some of that traffic we do exceptionally well sending it out for joins, but the primary purpose of our program is to broker traffic. :)

I never said that bought traffic couldn't be profitable. My statement was intended to get him thinking about why someone would sell traffic for less than its worth.

The answer is of course, they wouldn't. However the "worth" of traffic is relative. It comes down to who has the better mouse-trap. Once you exclude the scammers from the equation, if you're not able to make a profit on bought traffic, its probably your fault not the traffic.

For the record, I love bought traffic. Its the corner stone of our business.

And same here. Most successful sites have to start somewhere.

Dusen 04-24-2003 09:29 PM

But some people DEFINATELY sell traffic for more than it's worth :)

You are absolutely correct, but you wouldn't believe some of the thing stuff I've seen people buy traffic for and then wonder why it doesn't work... it's in my benefit to give people ideas on how to maximize their revenue from traffic they buy from us... and anyone else if it's the same sort of traffic :)

And of course we do it to make money, we're not charity :))))
