Newsgroup Software and Providers?

Can anyone recommend any automated newsgroup posting software and/or newgroup feed providers?

Are there any methodical ways you can do it without looking like spam and getting nuked from your service?

Sure:

- Post " by hand" one article at a time.
- Do not cross-post
- Do not post in " nospam" groups
- Keep your post on topic
- Do not post more than 10 articles per group at one time

and the most important: use your head...

dude, please don't bother... usenet has been ruined enough already, and the returns on usenet spamming are a bare fraction of what they were years ago. these days entire groups are abandoned daily due to the desperate onslaught of spam.

look at it this way... if the surfer is savvy enough to already be cruising the usenet, they're almost guaranteed to not fall for any spamming techinique... after all, they came to usenet to get it for free. if you insist on spamming, your time would be better spent sending bulk mail to AOL'ers and the like.. :2 cents:

Well how about some reliable newgroup services? Can anyone suggest any? Does anyone here do any newsgroup posting?

That's not true.

A) There are plenty of newbs on usenet. With "all-on-one" services like AOL, Newsgroups are just another button in the software and considering that all you have to do is search for groups containing the word you are interested in, it's a lot easier for a real newb than going out into the open internet.

B) If they are surfing usenet for porn, they ARE newbs. Think about the time, effort and spam involved with getting porn from newsgroups and ask yourself: why don't they get it from TGPs like everyone else? The answer is they don't know any better. As frustrating as it probably is to get the porn your want from newsgroups, those people are ripe for a plucking.

I say, just be careful and respectuful to group rules. Post on-topic messages/pics/movies with your URL in the message and branded on the content. As long as you post something relevant with each message, you can probably lay them on pretty thick with no real trouble.

I agree to the above and I do post in the newsgroups for the past 5 years. I have all auto posters ( Newsblaster, etc,,,) but I do not use them ( most groups block them as we block Flashget and similars). I subscribe to a few first rate newservices and conduct myself with respect and giving fresh new stuff to the groups.

Like anywhere else, there are some usenet users that will want to join a site or buy products ( vids, dvds) after seeing a sample on the group.

So don't use over and over again the same pics or vidclips so that usewrs start to send abuse report to your provider. Give fresh stuff and they will tolerate or appreciate you.

Thanks. Which news service do you use? I want to start trying out some newsgroup posting whether it with an autoprogram or just by hand, which right now, seems where I'll have to start.

We've used newsfeeds.com but have had some problems in the past with them.
