So has anyone here got rich through Bitcoin?
 

I've read recently a few articles online suggesting that anyone who bought a few dollars worth of Bitcoin just 5 years ago would be a millionaire now. Given that I remember threads on Bitcoin with a few individuals championing it being posted here years and years ago, surely there are few GFY members who have retired at this point, hell should be cashing in their Bitcoin now and buying out Manwin?

I invested hugely in 3D printing shares back when there was a lot of hype. At one point my stocks were worth nearly a quarter of a million. I could see the bubble was about to pop and was giving serious thought to selling and putting a lot of it in Bitcoin. If I did I would have been worth over $100 million now. I actually got depressed for a few days recently when I realized that.

The thing about Bitcoin is we should have been among the first to realize it was going places when some adult sites started accepting it.

It will keep on going places as you can see..

some have for sure, i kick myself but whatever i am buying other coins and holding. I will buy bitcoin as well. However i lose to buy lowly priced coins in the hopes of a big score.
Eventually need to start trading them, just not enough time

I sometimes wonder if Franck was trolling or he really did buy into BTC... and if so, does he still have it all?

I never bought big into BTC but since I've been mining for 6 years it has been a nice extra income. I try not to think too much about how much more I would have made if I'd held and sold now (example: in 2013ish I sold 11 bitcoins for around $500... total...)

I make a lot more by picking and choosing altcoins to mine.

I was making some decent returns, until Mintpal went under and stole my coins. It's like the wild west, no regulation and mostly anonymous.

Define rich. If rich means having 10 mil USD in bitcoin, answer is yes. If more, i guess so.
