i thought i was dreaming that i saw a preview at a movie cuz like two weeks later i saw an interview with jeff daniels and they asked him about a D&D sequel. he said there were no plans for it. so there actually is one, nobody could fill those guys shoes for those roles.

It's not the original cast cause Jim Carrey is a $20M price tag now! And Jeff Daniels isn't stupid enough to make a sequel/prequel and be the only original. He'd be a joke if he did.
