I did I reached the point where I could retire and I did. I still own almost all the content I have shot over the years, Ive even thought of selling that but haven't really actively pursued it. As for MikeSouth.com I got way more than I expected for it but the main thing was after 20 plus years it just wasnt fun anymore, and I always said I'd quit when it quit being fun, truth is I should have quit several years back....when it quit being fun.

As for MindGeek, Pornocracy in and of itself wont take them down, but things like international money laundering will, most people dont really understand what money laundering is but the ones that do understand why tubesites, porn, tax havens, shell corporations, the internet, prepaid credit cards, and bitcoins make for an extraordinarily difficult case for the feds to build. As one fed told me...We have LOTS of time.....

Bottom line I am enjoying retirement, many days now my office is the flying bridge on an offshore fishing/diving boat. The tools of my trade are rods and reels, SCUBA, sun and salt water.

yes, a lot of questions stay unanswered and therefor a lot of conspiracy theories will stay alive. It is interesting and liked watching it, a must see.

Good question but heres the truth...a successful tubesite is expensive to run..how do you monetize it REALLY? Sure you say you sell ads, but do your homework those ads most likely arent gonna pay your expenses, much less provide you with a salary so how do you make money with it? Its no secret what I think Ask yourself do you have the customers to service and provide you with the income and is it worth the risk you are taking?

On the plus side if you DO manage to make it really big MindGeek will buy it

But if thats your goal why not open up a studio and lose money with it...lots of money then sell that to MindGeek...one thing about it they need legit companies to make the business work.

I think MindGeeks biggest fear is age verification...they would spend a LOT of money to defeat that because it undermines their business...what percentage of their customers do you think would give them a credit card number even if they promised not to charge it? even if its 10% which I highly doubt, you have just undercut their income by 90% or more....I am not saying they are but if they are laundering massive amounts of money they have to have the means to do it, that means they have to have enough LEGIT business to hide it...Its not as easy as you think

Lets say I launder money through a charter fishing business....I get cash to take people fishing...2500 a day I can collect that charter and never leave the dock, deposit it as income and poof its clean....BUT

What happens if the feds start looking at me...did I buy enough gas to cover those charters? bait? Am I paying a mate? All of a sudden things arent adding up..most people have no clue how complicated it is to was a billion dollars..the going rate for doing so would be 200 million.

Now look at the internet and the product (traffic) you can measure traffic but its hard to put a legit price tag on it...the infrastructure is there and they cant nail me by counting my inventory set up a shell corp in a non us banking friendly country use my traffic company to sell that company some traffic keep 20% buy something from that shell corp and poof the moneys clean lather rinse repeat.
