Best CC proccessor for a small new paysite?

Let me know about the ones out there.

What are your experiences?

seven 04-23-2003 07:16 AM

GloBill/ACPay

Rochard 04-23-2003 07:18 AM

Every week - like clockwork - this same thread pops up.

CCBill. They'll take care of everything.

makinbank 04-23-2003 07:19 AM

i have been in the game about 5 months, I use epoch/paycom, and think they r the best. Their tech support is unbeatable, and they payout weekly.

What he said. I wouldn't trust my income with anyone else.

CumSensei 04-23-2003 08:23 AM

Yeah I been looking at globill and heard good things about them.

I would like to try out ccbill but to be honest I feel the 750 bucks a year are a little to much to pay if I wont make this paysite game :)

max.yambo 04-23-2003 08:25 AM

try yambo.biz.

X37375787 04-23-2003 08:25 AM

AC Pay :thumbsup

Cindyff 04-23-2003 08:30 AM

Globill are a good company but not Visa compliant so i suggest if you want a great reliable company that will take care of you Epoch is the only way to go.

Call Amparo on 310.577-2439 and say Cindy sent you she will look after you.

One way or another, you will pay it. People won't be getting around it much longer, and the people who do will have to cut corners somehow. At least with CCBill, they refund it from your percentage...

?? I'd be darned! I sure thought they were processing VISA trans still.. wait a minute.. but they still are :1orglaugh You had to be VISA compliant one way or the other to process VISA trans thefore they ARE VISA compliant. It's not like they are hiding in one of Saddam's underground bunkers and VISA don't even know if they are still dead or alive lol.

justsexxx 04-23-2003 10:40 AM

I use jettis and CCbill

High Quality 04-23-2003 10:47 AM

No mention of jettis yet?

Nosmo King 04-23-2003 12:28 PM

I just started a new paysite a few weeks ago and went with glo-bill. I researched dozens of posts on this board and others b4 making my choice. Plus I did research on the general net about Visa, mastercard, high risk, IPSPs - the whole shebang. Bottom line, don't listen to all the scare mongers. Glo-bill are a great company and they ARE compliant with whatever they do in whatever region they do it, otherwise Visa would had canned them many months ago. If you don't really care about the $750 then CCBill seems to be a topnotch processor as well and you should go with them.

Of course forget about iBill, websitebilling and the infamous Jesusbill. And paypal no longer accepts adult.

MegaPussy 04-23-2003 12:30 PM

Epoch/Paycom allows you to make the most off your traffic and members. Hands down.

I am interested in Jettis as well, as I want to diversify with my future sites. Do they credit you back the $750? Do they charge a mastercard fee or only a Visa fee?

Thee Johnclave 04-23-2003 01:47 PM

Nosmo King... we do reimburse the Visa fee and have no MasterCard fee.

Contact [email protected] for more info.

FreeNetPass Steve 04-23-2003 01:56 PM

Before you go with a processor, do a search on GFY for the processors you're thinking about.

At FreeNetPass we use Epoch and CCBill. We're pleased with both companies.

Sin_Vraal 04-23-2003 01:57 PM

my favorite biller is CCbill. they pay on time all the time. Its perfect. Only problem w/ CCbill is that my sales are literally half of whatever they would be on a different processor.

CCbill scrubs w/ a sand blaster on full. always gets the job done tho.

TheFLY 04-23-2003 01:58 PM

How about deluxe pass? still good?

Do you have a USA corp? If not, then your options are a lot more limited... (in no particular order)

- globill
- acpay
- verotel
- ccbill eu (?)
- ibill eu (?)

I'm sure there's more to add to the list.

FetishTemptress 04-23-2003 02:03 PM

GloBill all the way for me

CumSensei 04-24-2003 01:05 AM

Yeah I heard globill is good but I also heard from some that the email they send out each time its time to rebill the CC makes people back out more then with others...

Is globill the only company that send out those?

That is a Myth! Sign up to any site using globill and find out if they do really send that...

What they ( do/can ) send is a freaking receipt kinda thing.. telling the customer.. you were billed $xx.xx for such service etc.. AFTER they charge them...

CumSensei 04-24-2003 10:41 AM

Thanks for clarify that to me. :)

Yes they send out a receipt which reminds some of the members to cancel alright at the same token, it reduces the chargeback risk by far to even out the rev loss yet look good to VISA :)

bugout 04-24-2003 05:20 PM

verotel my ass...

I'm not high volume by any means, but for gods sake, my only chargebacks were US billing address with Romanian IP's making the transaction.

I dont think they have any fraud protection in place...

It'll end up costing you in the end if you go with verotel...

I used to like them.. now i'm just pissed.

Really?

What have you ever heard bad of about Netbilling? We have used them for along time now and praise them every chance we get.
We pay about 1/2 of what the 3rd party processors charge and get paid like clockwork every day. Our conversions are awesome with them as well and recurring retention is amazing. We just started doing cross-sells and are very happy as well.

We also use Verotel for 900 billing and are very happy there too, but would not use them for credit cards or checks.

Don't you need your own merchant account to use netbilling? Well, I think the thread opener said he only has a small new paysite would doubt he'd like to get a merchant account for that :(

It depends what small means. Anyone doing over about 10k per month will save money with their own merchant account even in the short term.
You pay the Visa and Mastercard reg fees and you are done. You will make back that money pretty quick in the processing fees savings.
Ask them to run some #s for you to compare.

NETbilling 04-24-2003 08:01 PM

Hi,

You are correct Sputter... thanks for the post.

We setup startups daily. Unless you don't plan on exceeding 10 or 15k per month, it is deinitely a good idea to get a merchant account and use a gateway.

Any questions?

Mitch

CumSensei 04-25-2003 01:44 AM

Well I do plan on making 10K a month but thats easy to plan and harder to make ;)

And since I am not alone on this but have a partner we have a merchant account if you mean by that we have a company?

Not sure what it means :)

CumSensei 04-25-2003 01:44 AM

I found this company.

http://www.dibill.com/

Anyone using them?

If you have a partner or a company doesn't mean you automatically have a merchant account :glugglug You have to apply, pay some fees if approved get a merch act. Merch account is not a biz account merch act is to process credit cards and all that your biz act can't.
