This is a great response. It's clear, it's strong, it's reserved (in a Trump world). It will hurt UN, and the money flow will slow down his missile program.

Of course it can hurt his people too. He may decide to divert funds for things his people need towards weapons. Who knows.

It will punish the people exclusively...if you think Kim's stash of Cuban cigars is going to get any smaller you are dead wrong...the us gov knows it will punish the people because sanctions only strengthen dictators but tough talk is required and nobody really cares about the people of n.korea...

Food will become even more scarce in n.korea...this is what's up...

That is the point -- make the people suffer and die off or overthrow the dictator's regime.

Sanctions did work in case of South Africa -- South Africa also destroyed the few nuclear weapons they had. North Korea is not South Africa -- very different situation there.

They voted for the sanctions because they know they're going to violate them as always. Putin always ALWAYS breaks his agreements.
