5mb IBM hard drive (1956)
 

My first HD was a 120MB SCSI drive for my Amiga 2000... costed around $1200 back in the 80's.

Enough to store 2 images :1orglaugh

I had a 5MB drive for a while, not quite as big as that, but still about half a shoebox in size (5 1/4" full height)

Thing took several seconds to get up to speed, sounded like a jet spooling up for takeoff. Even more fun with the cover off! :)

Now everything is compact and with easy access.
