Prison escapee kidnaps and murders warden’s daughter | New York Post

A Louisiana inmate escaped from prison — then kidnapped and killed an assistant warden’s step-daughter, according to reports Friday.

Deltra Henderson, 39, escaped from David Wade Correctional Center on Thursday afternoon, then abducted 19-year-old Amanda Leigh Carney, who lived on the prison grounds with her family, including her assistant-warden stepdad, James Arnold, according to KSLA.

He then crashed a stolen car — where cops later found Carney’s body stabbed to death inside, KTBS reports.

Henderson then stole another vehicle and crashed that before holing himself inside a home on the prison property, where he died in a shoot-out with police.

The felon had been serving time for attempted armed robbery, aggravated burglary and cocaine distribution since 2001 and wasn’t due to get out until at least 2025.





I don't fault the parents -- but -- why live at a prison compound when you know haters wii risk everything to do you and your family harm?

How'd he escape? Did he rape her? I'm sure the family is angry and heartbroken. Hopefully they'll move and stop housing families of prison authorities on the grounds as prisoners. Put the house in someone else's name, same with utilities, phone, cars, etc. Keep everything private.

He crashed 2 cars and still didn't make it off the prison grounds? If Wasserman-Schultz hasn't already claimed the Darwin award for this year it would be this guy.
