Charlie Gard parents say 'beautiful boy' has died...

The whole thing annoyed me to be honest - Sad that they lost their child though - Maybe now he can RIP at last...

Poor child. At least HIS suffering is over.

I know what you mean Eddy but then I don't know how i'd react in that position myself.

If his parents were Muslim he would have gotten the treatment.

You're such a victim. If it wasn't for people different than you, you'd have the perfect life.

it was and is such a sorry state of affair! The child should have been given the treatment, knowing this may not have worked, but where is the humanity, where is the hope in life and trust in god.

The boy may have had no further life and lived disabled, but maybe not. & still no one gave this child the commitment to continue and hope...

You only live once & the amount of money put into killing, war and hatred! The amount of time put into negativity, why was this boy not given more love and hope by this world!?!?!

He is gone now, RIP and still this year will be remembered for many negative reasons in many years to come :(

I come from the other side of this argument I am afraid - The first rule for anyone in medicine is 'do no harm' - I think keeping him alive was harmful to him and his parents...

Even they realized this in the end and that's why they let him go......

Sad day for the parents. They should have been allowed to take the child to the States.

A similar case happened last year. Ashya King was told to stay in the UK and die instead of going to Prague for Proton Beal treatment. He was kidnapped by his parents and taken to Prague. He's now completely recovered.

Even if he had the extremely untested treatment, he would have been in little better than a vegative state, the treatment wasn't a curse but a chance to let him survive with less medical aids.

I know logically ( which is why the courts decided to turn machines off ) that this was the right situation, however, as parents, as a caring person & with humanity, I still feel with all the things that can be done today & all the money put into war and hate, a little more hope and testing, more strength could have been possible.

I feel the human race did let this little boy down :2 cents:
