Hug your family

Tonight right in front of me a thirty-five year man collapsed and went fifteen minutes without a pulse. An hour later at a local hospital he died.

We can all die at any time. Keep that in mind the next time you have an argument with someone.

Bladewire 07-27-2017 09:42 PM

I'm so sorry you had to experience that Rochard. You're right life is more fragile than we sometimes realize. Big bro hug for you man 🤗🤗🤗

True. Our lives can end at any time.

But what makes the end of a life tragic?

Is it just the loss? The beginning of absence? Or is it something else?

PaperstreetWinston 07-27-2017 11:52 PM

thanks. will do

When I was nursing we used to lose people that where no more than kids all the time - It sent me over the edge sometimes - It was hard to comprehend...

He went 1.25 hours without a pulse before they declared him dead?

That first 15 minutes would have been enough to convince me.

If he were declared dead on the scene, then how would the hospital debt collector be able to keep a straight face when demanding his family pay the $100k ER bill? :helpme

I read that 66% of heart attacks have no warning and are fatal. The classic guy grabs his chest and then cut to the recovery room with him smiling weakly only happens 1/3 of the time. The rest of the time a loved one or friend finds them face down. They usually seem to be able to call out to someone once or walk 10 feet before they die.

If you've ever seen someone go out from a rear naked choke - it takes 6-10 seconds. You realize you're fainting, get tunnel vision, can't breath, call for help or get up from your chair, and hit the floor.

Luckily, under 65 YO, cancer is the major killer, so you get to lose all your hair, lose all your money, and lose all your dignity. You can try to keep a smile for your family while secretly hating everyone who will go on living, trying to make deals with god, hoping, and then spending the last week of your life drooling, crying, and being in unbelievable pain.

Yes it sucks to have foreknowledge of death.

bns666 07-29-2017 12:52 PM

sorry to hear that :(

Yeah, because people did not die of heart attacks before the evil big pharma conspiracy.

You really are a proper fucking weapon.

My dog is smarter than you and he is as dumb as a particularly stoopid rock.
