What day is passover over?
|
Thursday night.
|
The head Jew beams a signal in the sky to inform Jews all over the world when a holiday is over. Go look out your window, might be there now.

My parents would take us to NYC every spring to soak up some culture 'Go son, be free, run with your own kind.' |

i've read most of Mordecai Richler's books. I caught up on my Jewish culture in my late teens and at university.
I think religion is for idiots, but culture is nice. So I like the cultural aspects of being a Jew. Gimme a pastrami sandwich, a kosher dill and a copy of the Sunday New York Times and I'm a happy camper. |
I'm pretty much in it for the food myself. Double bonus on all the extra holiday days while in high school. Maybe when I have kids, I will re-connect more with the other parts of the equation.

I missed all the seders as well.........
I am a bad Jew. I got a BJ instead the first two nights Both chicks had no YEAST infections so that in itself was a mitzvah! Oye vey! |
I'm not Jewish but I'll tell you something funny that happened to me in New York. I was with a Jewish friend and I bought a hotdog from one of those street vendors because I was starving.
This Jewish friend of mind decided to get some fast food at a Jewish kosher shop and I followed him in happily munching on my hotdog only to be screamed at and chased out by the Jewish owner. How was I supposed to know my hotdog had a pork sausage in it :) |

why is it everybody is saying "i met a lot of jews", "there are lots of jews" etc.? there are over 6 billion people on earth, of which only 14 million are jews, nearly half of which live in Israel... so assuming you don't live in Israel (or NYC...) your chances for meeting a jew are actually very small... 14 million jews worldwide out of 6 billion people, still, you see them and hear about them, and love them and hate them etc. looking at the table of nobel prize winners, or uni professors, or classical musicians, or lawyers, or doctors etc. and you might think jews are 50% of the world's population.
