Are all accountants

...dumb. Last December I got a notice from the IRS that I owed an additional X amount on my 2001 taxes. I fired my accountant (who was a friend) because this was not the first time he screwed up. I had told him multiple times not to do any creative accounting, if in doubt don't take a deduction.

I hired a new accountant to go over the paper work and see if the IRS was correct and he verified that they were correct. This year I filed an amended tax form for 2001 taxes, so that is all squared away. I had the same new accountant do my 2002 taxes and told him the same thing I had told my friend, if in doubt don't take a deduction.

Well...I have already received a notice from the IRS that I owe an additional X amount on my 2002 taxes. I am having the new accountant go over the paper work again to see if the IRS is correct. If they are, and I suspect they are, I am going to fire the new accountant.

Fuck..I am thinking about taking some courses at the community college and start doing my own taxes.

Is it possible to mess up your taxes when using TurboTax?
And can you file a schedule C with it? I think I have it but I
don't know how to use it, I thought it was a tad confusing.
I don't have the slightest clue bout doing taxes.
