Undisputable proof that most people are fucking idiots

Anger Management' retains box-office punch with $25.6 million.

This is seriously one of the worst movies I have seen in some time.

But then again, I prefer art house classics like Scooby Doo and Backyard Dogs.

It was OK... I thought it was going to be better though.... now I wish I would have seen Phone Booth... oh well...

rev_ink 04-20-2003 11:34 PM

The best part was seeing Jack as a miniacle son-of-a-bitch.....

He was twisted!

Adam Sandler has done better movies.....

Hollywood could make a movie about grass growing and as long as it had one or two big stars in it, they could hype the shit out of it and get their money back plus change.

Hollywood studios own your minds. Admit it. Your a slave to them.

I cant believe people still go to movies like they do

I bought a DLP projector, a 100 inch screen, surround sound and I won a dvd player from GFY... fuck i never go to the movies anymore, I got better shit in my house.

By the time a movie is released on DVD, I already know if its a flop or not.

slavdogg 04-21-2003 12:38 AM

MrPheer, take it once step further
download nearly dvd quality movies online that are currently in theaters
burn it on a cd and watch it on your 100 inch screen.

..i think technology was invented by hermits.

YEAH I KNOW! I mean, why doesn't everyone just buy all that stuff? geez.

marty 04-21-2003 12:45 AM

I don't understand the hype about the "My big fat greek wedding" either.

If that is the best they can come up with why aren't more tallented writters getting a break?

foolio 04-21-2003 01:11 AM

The problem with watching movies at home is that you can stop them anytime you like. When you study cinema, one of the things you learn is that, unlike books and video tapes/DVD's, a film just keeps going which requires more of a commitment and involvement on the part of the viewer. You're sitting at home watching a serious film on your home system and your cell phone goes off or the timer timing your meatloaf goes off and you hit pause or you rewind/back up to what you missed. The flow of the story is gone.

Watching movies at home is shit compared to watching them in the intended theatre environment.

If you can't get back into the flow of a movie after pausing it, then you shouldn't be watching movies...or the story is so weak you can't get back into it.

Or, do wht we do. Tell all your friends and family to fuck off, and they'll stop calling.

We are true hermits, and are anti-social by choice. No one ever comes over, and we never go out, just how we like it.

If our phone rings we duck for cover like it's a grenade.

Peter Romero 04-21-2003 01:27 AM

Anger Management... I sat in the third row, yawned profusely, and finally answered my cell phone in the theater and no-one complained.

I cannot believe people actually believe the budgets: 100 mil for "The Abys"??? One location, 6 B rated actors, and some special effects. They got you all to feel sorry for them so you would go see the movie by anouncing the budget like it was some landmark film with high production value. I can make a porno feature, pay twice the SAG day scale, with 10 grand, no script and still turn a profit. Just say no to movies with great trailers - they do that for shitty movies - spend 3 months & half a mil on the fuckin trailer to save thier ass.
