CRT monitor no radiation
Is there CRT monitor which is harmless for eyes?
I have heard that LG FLATRON 795 FT plus has no radiation but dont know what do you think and what do you know |
Aren't the North European monitors rated for such things? Hell they even give their techs radiation monitors to verify. Other parts of the world don't give a damn, or even thing they're doing you a favor ionizing your DNA.

Get the monitors that have the red stickers on them that say "TCO 99". They're rated for radiation, etc.

Radiation isn't all of why CRTs are hard on the eyes. The fact that they have a refresh rate (at all) can make them hard on your eyes-- basically, any CRT flashes on and off 60-90 times a second. (Flourescent lights have the same problem, and also cause eyestrain.) The nice thing about LCD is that there is basically no refresh.

I was thinking along the lines of cateracts.

get a monitor/video card combo that will refresh at 100hz or higher at desired resolutions. You can be in front of the screen for a long time and it wont bother the eyes.
I have the viewsonic P225f professional. |
hey thanks all for the advices i didn`t know that it depends on the refresh rate also but I am still wondering should I choose LCD or CRT.
AdultNex, yeah man I know that I am using now MultiSync FE700 with TCO 99 sticker. :) |
If you do any design at all, CRT all the way. Dont fuck around with a garbage LCD because the colors are completely fucked up.
