Sponsors fucking the industry up...Ever track your email? I did...The results are in!
Okay...So overall I have catchall emails on all my domains...So when I signup for something...Normally I use a catchall addy for I can track just how much spam I get from them...
So lets take a example... Sexpromote ... You know the scammers who fuck surfers out of $40...But anyways... I filled out their form on freeadultlottery.com and got to the next page where it asked for credit cards...Nope ain't gonna fill it in...So I closed it out...Thank god my browser didn't crash from all the popups... So...Remember I never got access to the free porn... But guess what I did get? I joined about 2/17/03 To date...I've gotten...1,567 messages... That evens out to about 25 messages a day... So the cost of free porn I never got is 1,567 emails? And each email has their own "unsubscribe" system...So how am I suppose to stop these emails if I was a normal surfer? Its shit like this that is killing our industry...I am not referring to sites who send you newsletters daily in exchange for free porn...The kind that send it from the same email addy and has a REAL remove link... Here is a screenshot... http://adult.cyberwebextreme.com/email.jpg Input please... Jon |
Unfortunately, that is common practice and explains why ratios keep going down for e-mail collection programs, no matter how fresh they are. Once a surfer gets fucked like that they aren't going to be giving out their e-mail address at a porn site ever again.
|
wow shit dude. I remember when I used hotmail, i would get like 300 spam emails a day, so then I just said fuckit!
|
insane. shady practices...
|
fuck em all ! Just send them to free tgps and kazzaa.
Fight paying for porn LOL |
I know exactly what yu mean, I know the same about pretty well known so called good people in this biz its a shame.

Done...
[email protected] -> [email protected] [email protected] -> [email protected] muhahhahahahha Jon |
Unfortunately that might not be the best plan of attack. Most of the time spammers don't have a valid reply address. This means your reply message will bounce back to you. They'll still send you more spam, which means you'll get double the messages. I'd recommend using a program like the following to fake a bounce reply to their mail server. (This just happens to be the first program I came across)

So instead they will be getting the 25 emails a day... Jon |
jesus christ, and they call ME a spammer!!
|
I get septic tank emails every day.
And I have no clue why someone would have internet access and no plumbing. |
Its getting ugly..:( I have two friends that donīt want to surf the web anymore because of all the junk mail and popup windows..in the long run it could hurt all business on the web
|
i signed part of the way up for a dollarmachine site and a stiffycash site. i never clicked okay to use my email address, and i never input my cc info.
i now get about 500 spam emails a day from one of those two companies, or both because whoever it was SOLD my email address over and over. it was an email i only used twice, when i tried the first part of those two programs' signups. i talked to my rep and dollarmachine, and he said they don't do that. same at stiffycash. GRRRRRRRRRRRR :feels-hot |

haha the real magoo said its getting ugly but has a link to an email sponsor in his sig
fact is this is uncontrollable.. email makes money, and anything that makes money eventually gets so saturated that it doesn't make money for individuals anymore, but still makes money as a whole.. only way to curtail it would be to stop doing this.. which is about like saying give up all your money, share, and live together and paint logos of scythes and hammers on your walls.... warm and fuzzy in principle but can't happen. oh well.. so is life. |
hmmm lets see, you want people to give 35-40$ for a FREE join, no chargebacks and you DONT want popups and email spam?
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh get real |
confirmed.
I signed up off freepornlottery.com but closed the browser when it asked for my CC number. I kept an eye on my email for about 10 mins, then lost interest. However, I've just noticed that 8 spams have since arrived - sent to the special name and address that I used. ahahah who's just figuring this out today? I never send mailing traffic to those sponsors because it just washes out your list. But like I said: GET REAL. they have to make that 40$/join somewhere, and that somewhere is off harvesting emails and untracked exits. |
My email conversions are way down and this is one of the reasons.
I suggest you post a link to a program like this so that you give the surfer a freee email account that pays you such as this one:
FREE email accounts It helps. They dont get screwed and you make a few bucks. |

Just noticed a reject in my mail logs for the unique address I used to initiate the signup to sexpromote.
It's been more than a year since this thread was started. I never completed the signup (or agreed to any T&C), and they're STILL spamming me! :321GFY |

bump of a very old thread...
I thought people may be interested to know that there are still attempted deliveries to the unique email address I used when I signed up (as a consumer) over 4 years ago on freeadultlottery.com. Are these fuckwits too stupid to clean their lists? The address has been "unknown user" bouncing for 4+ years. Then again these are the people who deluge you with spam when you don't even fully complete the signup. :321GFY |
