Deja-Vu? or a ripple in space-time caused by merging black holes?

The folks at LIGO have done it again: For the third time they have detected the whisper-faint roar as a pair of black holes ended their long courtship by merging into a single, bigger black hole. By doing so, they have shown that gravitational wave astronomy is more than a novelty; it?s a fundamentally new field of astrophysics.

In this new case, two black holes three billion light-years away (!!) coalesced, their individual masses of 31.2 and 19.4 times the Sun?s mass combining to form a single black hole 48.7 times the mass of the Sun.

Is this is why everything aged so quickly recently? All of a sudden everything seems older by 10 years or so. You wake up one day and are like, WTF happened I'm old, how is everyone so old all of a sudden?

Scientists may have found evidence of a parallel universe

No. The answer to that question can be found here: https://blogs.scientificamerican.com...-we-get-older/

For the love of god... these are 3-dimensional objects in space, please stop with the dumbed-down 2D representations to describe them. In this day and age I believe we are capable of so much more given our advances in technology and computer graphics and overall education level. Instead, show us how these events behave in 3 dimensions and maybe we'll all actually learn something beyond incomplete and anachronistic analogies.
he´s got a point :2 cents:

Who here can envisage 3 billion light years?

Bladewire 06-04-2017 02:56 PM

When I'm mindful of slowing time this is always at the center of my focus @ 00:27

More recently this comes to mind at times

The Earth could be consumed easily by this giant black hole.
Talk about throwing a hot dog down a hallway!
