Whats up, Im running FreeBSD and I'm trying to setup a proxie server. I am using the program "Squirt".
I have it up and running, but I cant seem to get it to work right, when I enter the IP address of my BSD machine and the port in internet explorers proxy section, and try to surf the web, I have the same IP address. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or know an easier program to use besides Squirt? |

Could be a couple of things. First, I would make sure I have Internet Explorer set up properly. There are two different places to specify your proxy setup depending on whether or not you have broadband and/or connect through a gateway.
The other thing to check is whether or not you have the proxy set up as an anonymous proxy or just a cache. Still, your IP address should only show up as "X_FORWARDED_FOR" or one of the other "spill" variables. SpaceAce |

It's 8106140. You can add me to your list, but I am kind of busy at the moment. If you want to post something in here, I will try to answer it when I get a chance or you can go ahead and add me to your ICQ list but I probably won't have any time to talk until tomorrow. SpaceAce |
